LE SACRE COEUR

The Sacre Coeur (the big white church on the hill in Montmartre) was hopping today!  When I first hiked up on Tuesday, I thought it was quite busy, but it was nothing compared to the weekend traffic.  This was evidenced by the HUGE increase in people trying to steal your stuff, and the presence of two armed guards (who, by the way, did not appear to have much of an impact, but gave the people who'd have phones stolen someone to talk with).  I, meanwhile, clung to my purse with two hands.

Hard at work, trying to get the tourists to (not) pick the coin with white on the back.

They were not feeling especially photogenic...
