PARIS IN THE RAIN

Paris has been quite grey for the past few days.  Lots of light misty rain that makes my hair frizzy and encourages staying home and curling up with cups of hot chocolate.  However, it's also the perfect weather for taking trips to bookstores and coffee shops.  So, today, that is what I did.

The view down my hill.  Pretty, even in the drizzle.
And, for good measure, the view up the hill.  That big bird cage is actually the Pantheon.
Shakespeare & Co.: the ultimate rainy-day bookstore.
A coffee at Telescope, back behind the Palais Royale with my new book (I went with Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie).
